MY CHALLENGE.
Walk a minimum of one mile from home. Record where you’ve been with a drawing, sculpture, photo or painting and then walk back. Every day for a year.
Please add comments — I really enjoy the feedback. And if you want to join in with the ONE MILE FROM HOME challenge let me know and I’ll add you to the blogroll
If you want to buy prints of anything you see here please send an email to myfirstname at julieoakleydesign dot com

Beautiful rich colors! I don't know if I'll be able to take the time to paint but I have joined the walking club, with 2 - 3 mi. a day. It feels so GOOD I don't want to stop. But if I stop to sketch with Ripley in tow I'll probably stiffen up and limp the whole way home. But I can take a picture a day on my walk and paint later ...
Congrats for being an inspiration to us former-sedentarians ... K.
GLORIOUS!!
A lovely series you have created.
Karen, I might be joining you on the photo-walking club when this year is over, so I can fit in more miles.
Thank you Lin and Robin
Gorgeous pic. Is this rape seed crop? We call it Canola these days and there are (apart from the drought) usually lots of canola fields for ever over here in Victoria.
