Walk One Hundred and Fifty-Nine – Football season
Spencer playing field has benches – always an attractive option when plein air sketching. After this sketch, I walked round the Bluebell wood, bitterly regretting that I had forgotten to take a blackberrying container, so I’ll have to go out again if that blackberry and apple crumble for tonight’s supper is going to taste good.

Yummm! This is a really nice perspective, I like the clarity of the two in the forground and the vauge shadowy colors of the team. Excellent drawing!
Hi Julie,
This is my first visit in a month or so. I really love your idea of combining a daily walk with a drawing or painting.
It's such a pleasure to see the variety in your styles and media. I also really enjoy the glimpses into your cozy home life. Example: a crumble for dessert! Baking is almost a lost art.
Great sketch. We have blueberry and apple crumble - we pick the blueberries at a farm in mid january and then bag them up and freeze them. There are 'freezer rats' that make little holes in the corner and eat the frozen berries.
Blackberry and apple crumble - yum yum!
Do you think you could find more foodie ones to do as you come up to your half way mark?
Tami - glad you liked the way I handled it. PP, Alison and Katherine I love cooking (that's why I need to walk) but I have to say baking and desserts are not my forté, but a crumble is easy. This time I included some finely chopped brazil nuts and broken up flakes of almonds as I didn't have my usual ground almonds in the store cupboard and it was dlicious.
You're such a master with these drawing pens or brushes (what are they anyway, that gives such interesting lines?)
