Walk One Hundred and Fifty-Five – Acorns

oakleaves
Another fairly quick one – drawn sitting on a bench at Jersey Farm Woodland Park. Xavier loves acorns – the house is full of his collections of them. With Tom and Hugo it was conkers, great buckets of them that I was not allowed to move until they had very obvious signs of mould and rot.

With my eldest it was rocks. At least they don't mould :-)

Lovely lines. I get so many oak seedlings growing from the autumn leaf piles I collect - such a bother. And I still have one baked and polished conker from my childhood :)

Nice - don't you just love all that mellow fruitfulness before it starts getting stinky?!
