Walk One Hundred and Fifty-Six – St Leonard’s Church
Another busy day work-wise, so another walk in the dark after feeding the children and getting Xavier to bed. To see the original on-site black and white drawing – before all the Photoshop magic added later – mouse over the picture.

well, this certainly looks like sleeping English village. Does the photoshop bit take long to add? It looks very effective.
When I was outside, I knew exactly how I was going to add the colour (flat gradation here, radial gradation to transparent here etc etc).I have had a fair bit of practice with Photoshop, and so I don't get too bogged down working out how to do some things, also I have a fairly powerful computer which all helps to speed things up. Nevertheless I probably spent about double the time on the photoshop as I did on the drawing.
Julie,
I love what you did with this, when PS can evoke a feeling, I am all for it!
Very interesting Julie, unfortunatly we cant get fast computer links at all, so close to a city but unable to get it ridiculous and when the children come home from school I cant load anything. Find this very interesting and really lights it all up.
Wonderful drawing!
lovely drawing! but tell us! how did you do that "mouse over" effect?
Manalena, well I just go to the help menu in Photoshop and follow the instructions for doing a rollover. I can never remember and always have to follow the instructions
The rollover is really clever! The photoshop colour additions lift the original.
