Walk Eighty-seven – Dawn

dawn
glory

A sleepless night in this heat, so I gave up at five o’ clock this moning and went for my walk. The second picture was a patch of rainbow colours in the sky which was something like a ‘glory’ but with vague undefined edges.

Julie I am thinking of you, but what a lovely sunrise. Here sunrise is about 7 am and freezing cold. I must be getting old I dont remember feeling so cold, but then we have had a couple of mild winters.

It's a long time since I've been up at dawn though I'm often awake between 3 and 5. Your hot weather has been on the news - poor you - at least here we have fans (though not air con) to deal with it. I love the sense of distance you create in your paintings.
