Walk Thirty-six – Cumulus

cloudscolour
WALK36
I am trying to find ways of drawing clouds with line – difficult. By the way my eldest son, Tom is spending half-term holiday sailing on a tall ship. He’s in Zeebrugge at the moment and will be sailing up the Thames at the end of the week. Once again Tower Bridge will be opened for one of my children!

What a peaceful scene. Very nicely drawn and painted.

it´s good fun to follow your walks.
Nice clouds and nice weather I suppose. Happy sailing for your son !

Well, it look like you could just pluck these clouds out of the sky. Again, a lovely composition. And I loved your Tower Bridge sketches - lucky young people to get these life affirming, challenging opportunities. There's nothing like 'running away to sea'. Finnian has a month's volunteer crewing on the tall ship Dryfken in November.

Whoops - made a mistake there - in fact they're mooring just before they reach Tower Bridge so it looks as thought the last time they went through Tower Bridge may have been a one-off. Michelle, I tracked back and you have some lovely illustrations on your site. Frieluftmaler, the weather is getting better - more blue sky, less rain but still quite cold. Alison, it is great for our kids isn't it?

Your Tower Bridge sketches were lovely - isn't it nice to have something which says so much more than a photograph.
