Walk Fifteen – Misty morning

I love the way that the mist strips out all the detail so that the scenery is reduced to flat layers, with more and more colour leached out, the further away the distance. The man (with dog) coming towards me had the most beautiful chubby baby in his backpack

Yes, this is beautiful and I love the placing on the page. Now about the cold - I have been comparing your weather stats and ours. Interestingly, we have the same average rainfall only we are in severe drought and actually hardly have any these days. Our average minimum temperatures are about the same but we often have clear winter skies which give us very cold nights -4/-5 but mean we warm up quicker during the day than you. We are at 2000 feet altitude which also has a big effect. On Monday when I was out walking, it was 7.0 degrees and windy - coat weather! :)
