Walk One Hundred and Sixty-Nine - Avoiding the rain
That time when I have to avoid the rain clouds is back. I took an old sketchpad (with nothing precious in it) a black ink brush pen and a brush pen filled with Paynes grey watercolour. When the first raindrops started to fall I finished off the painting holding the pad inside a plastic supermarket carrier bag.

There is something "old world" about these simple two and three color landscapes that you do, that I am just drawn to. I keep telling myself to try practing that style but never seem to do it when I am out.
This is really really nice, it brings me back home, as do the colours
This is starting to look very cold - fancy having to draw inside a plastic bag! - it's going to be hard drawing outside every day when the days are so short and so much rain. It's going to be 31 degrees here today - 13 above average
Stunning! Thanks for explaining how you did it--I'm experimenting with brushpens so that was helpful. I love the monochrome and the white space.
