Walk Fifty-eight – In search of puddles
This may look like a short walk, but in the company of the little Emperor it was in reality a very long walk and about twice the distance shown here. Despite the dry weather, Xavier is insistent on wearing wellington boots and there were numerous diversions off the main path in search of puddles to jump in. As you can imagine we returned home with the boots as dry as they were when we left home.

Ahh, the optimism of children! Wish we could hang on to it all our lives! Amazing series of drawings and paintings that you are building up!
Lovely clouds again - funny how that pleasure in wellies is almost universal at that age.
ah yes
puddles!
one of the things that interests me most as i look at your drawings (and other artist's blogs) is the use of the well in the sketchbooks...or i suppose i should say the use of the two-page spread and placement of the well in the sketch.
i used to draw more than i do and must just "do it" daily again. (i use a camera primarily tho i have a small sketchbook i add to when i can get the bloody scans to look halfway decent)
