Walk Three Hundred and Fourteen – Grace’s bench

graceparker
Grace’s bench is at the far end of the bluebell wood. I didn’t know Grace Parker – we only moved to the village at the end of 1999 – but I like to think that maybe she was a kindred spirit who loved the bluebell wood as much as I do.

I think it is rather nice to be remembered by a bench, something useful and yet some one to think about. Looks lovely.

I'm always impressed by how you can take the simplest objects and draw them in an interesting way. And in this case, it's very cool that you get all the various visitors to your blog to stop and think about Grace, who we never knew, but who we can imagine enjoying your bluebell wood.

This is a lovely one - I must do Hermione's bench - I often go there but always sit on it - to sketch it, I'll have to sit amongst the ants.

I agree Penny. Maybe Grace's bench will need replacing when I go... and then Karen maybe someone else will do whatever will replace blogging about me. Alison - stand! That's what I did.
