Walk Three – Hammonds Farm

Overcast, but not too cold. They didn’t seem to mind a plump, middle-aged woman sitting on the bridleway verge, drawing the farm buildings at Hammonds Farm. You can see the gables and chimneys of the rambling old famhouse peeking up from behind the barn.

pedalpower, I am lucky that I can go on off-road countryside walks in several different directions.

Thanks Felicity, fortunately the weather and time were on my side for this drawing.

Road apples, welcome and that would be great. There aren't any rules really. I've set up a separate blog because I prefer to have just the one mile project in one place but you can do what you want. Let me know whether you want to use your existing blog or a new one and I'll add it to the list. I notice you've had a problem with spam commenting. I haven't had a problem with blogger (which is easy and free) so you might consider that so that you can receive encouraging comments.

Oh gosh - how stupid am I? You have a blogger blog anyway. Have you tried word verification?

This is a great drawing, Julie! I walk 1 to 2 miles a day (just started the REAL committment to it last week) and may just have to join in. No place is near as scenic as this one, though!

This is a wonderful project -- and I very much like the drawing of the barn! It's a good idea of how to generate "what do draw?" Afraid I can't make the commitment, but, I'll sure be checking on the everyone else who is! Thanks for the idea!

Julie - great drawing - I'm looking forward to you coming back with paints later in your year. Have you thought of doing a Monet and going to the same place every day at the same time when the light's the same? I think that's what I'd want to do.

Penny I'm glad you like it.
Katherine, funnily enough I was thinking of something along those lines. However I knew I'd get bored of walking the same way every day, which is why I changed tack.
